Regional Science Olympiads
General Information
There are Science Olympiads that are also organized as regional competitions. Regional Science Olympiads in various branches are held in various regions of the world every year. Our country participates in some of these in preparation for the International Science Olympiads.
The Olympiads
Computer Science
Our country has been participating in the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics since 1994 with teams consisting of 4 people. In July 1998, our institution hosted the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics on behalf of our country. The organization was held in Ankara.
Since 2018, our country has been represented by 4 middle school students.
Physics
Since 2016, our country has been represented by a team of 8 students in the Asian Physics Olympiad. This event has been attended by a wide-ranging nations, especially from Asian countries. The official website of the Olympiad is: http://asianphysicsolympiad.org/
Physics
Our country has been represented since the first day of the European Physics Olympiad, which has been organized since 2017, with 5 students. Official website of the Olympiad is: https://eupho.ee/
Chemistry
Since 2017, we have participated in the Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiads with 4 students.
Mathematics

Since 2018, 4 students from our country have participated in the Mediterranean Mathematics Olympiad, which is organized to involve countries which have coasts to the Mediterranean. Countries are represented by 2 girls and 2 boys in the Olympiad, where teams compete, not individuals. Official website of the Olympiad is: http://www.mymc.it/
Our team, which consists of four female students, participates in the European Girls' Mathematics Olympiad, held since 2012. Official website of the Olympiad is: https://www.egmo.org/
Our country has been participating in the Youth Balkan Olympiad since 1997, for participants under the age of 15.5, as it started in 1997 in the field of mathematics. Our country participated in the 19th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad held in Antalya in April 2002. It hosted the 7th Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad held in Aydın in June 2003, the 29th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad held in Antalya in 2012, and the 17th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad in 2013.
