General Information

Don’t miss an opportunity to participate in national and international science olympiads.

About the Program

The National Science Olympiads are organized in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology to encourage students attending high school (except for seniors) and 8th grade middle schoolers to engage in basic sciences, direct their studies, and contribute to their development in these fields.

8th grade middle schoolers can participate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology categories. National Middle School Science Olympiads are also organized for middle school students who want to take the exam in Mathematics and Computer Science sections. Students who achieve a certain level from the first stage exams are invited to the second stage exams held in Ankara by TÜBİTAK BİDEB. Moreover, in the summer months subsequent to the first stage exams, a Summer School Organization is arranged to prepare students for the second stage exams, where they will be trained by academics who are experts in their fields.

Letters from you

The most important aspect of the Science Olympiad efforts for me is to bring talented young people together with researchers, to study science in Turkey, and to convey the quality of life that can be spent with research. Success in the Science Olympiad exams is not stupendously significant in the long run. But students who prepare for the Science Olympiad with enthusiasm often find that they are talented enough to earn a living by researching this topic. That's how you can decide whether you would like to be a scientist, by looking at how much you enjoy the subjects you learned, rather than what results you achieved in the exams. Good luck!
